Reflective Writing 1
Two years
ago my cousin Abdullah got his driving license and he ask me to go to Dubai
with him. It was the first time he drive outside the city to go to Dubai and he
didn’t know who to get there but I was with him so I helped him. After a couple
of hours we were in our way back home, while we were chatting we lost our way
and found our self in Ajman. We stop the car in the side of the road and tried
to ask other drivers about the road but no one stop, after a few minutes a car stopped and the driver guided us to the right way. In our way back I saw a car
stopping at the side of the road because he had a flat tire. In this situation
I had two choices; the first choice was leave him alone so maybe someone will
help him. Or stop and help him because it is the right thing and we were
looking for help before and we got the help we need. So I told my cousin to
stop and we went to help him and the guy was alone and he didn’t know how to
replace the tire, when we checked the spare tire it wasn’t in a good condition
so we waited with him because he called his friends and they brought him a good
tire. I made this choice because it is the right thing to do and if no one stopped
for that guy he maybe will not help others in future. After 5 to 10 years I will
start thinking about decisions I made in the past, was it right or wrong but
for this situation I think I did the right thing. I think this situation belongs
to level 6 in Kohlberg stages because it is the right thing in my opinion.
